An Eyelash Lift is essentially a perm for your lashes. Unlike a lash extension, a lash lift simply alters the shape of your natural lashes. For most people, lashes grow out, rather than up. However, upward growing lashes will give a more cosmetically pleasing appearance.
At SugarBare, we offer a keratin-based lash lift that should last for 6 - 8 weeks.
There is little to no downtime after a Lash Lift. You just need to avoid water and eye makeup products for 24 hours. It is common to experience eye irritation secondary to the chemicals used in the process.
Eyebrow Lamination is essentially a perm for your eyebrows to give you a more full and even look. It can also help keep them in place after washing off cosmetics. Unlike Microblading, needles and coloring are not involved unless you add on an eyebrow tint or Henna.
Eyebrow Lamination lasts from 6 - 8 weeks so it's only temporary.
Eyebrow Henna is a natural alternative to traditional eyebrow coloring. Traditional eyebrow tints are primarily made of chemicals while most henna brow products are made of natural plant-based ingredients including Lewsonia Insermis aka – henna, a flowering plant commonly used to dye skin, hair and fingernails.
The Henna stains the skin underneath the brows for up to a week with the tint lasting on the eyebrow hairs for up to 6-8 weeks, which is longer than traditional eyebrow tint.
• Follow your stylists’ recommendations and avoid tweezing in between appointments to maintain your shape.
• Avoid using makeup and facial cleansers around the brow area for the following 24 hours.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 24 hours.
• Avoid exfoliating and using anti-ageing products around the brow area for at least two - three days prior to and post treatment.
• Avoid using any self-tanning products on the face for around two-three days either side of the treatment.
• Avoid the temptation to over touch the brow area after a treatment. Touching with hands/fingers can lead to oils entering opening pores and clogging them.
• Remember your tinting results will be darker and more defined immediately after your treatment but will begin to fade depending on the frequency of cleansing.
• Inform your stylist immediately should you experience any swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, skin grazing or cuts after your treatment so they can advise you on the correct procedure to follow. If you have any questions or concerns, be honest with your stylist – we don’t know what we don’t know!
